Reviews Years Work
The Clinton Garden Club Coun
cil met recently to review the ac
tivities during the past year.
The council reported that it
has purchased and planted
shrubbery at each of the four
welcome signs located on the
main highways into the city. The
council has also had grass sown
at the welcome signs.
In cooperation with the city
and the.Civitan Club, the council
also h& purchased other shrub
bery and has worked to beauti
fy the traffic sign at the railroad
track.
The Carolina Wren Garden
Club improved the plot beside
Gordon’s Shoe Store on Mus-
grove Street;. The Iris Club plant
ed shrubbery on Prather Circle.
The Council Committee is

mas Ideas.” She showed several
arrangements using practical
ideas and how to utilize simple
materials and containers.

R. J. Tankersley, Mrs. George
Reid, and Mrs. S. W. Sumerel
served a salad plate with sweets
and coffee. '

The Sunbonnet Garden Club
met at the home of Mrs. John
T. Young on South Broad Street
for their November meeting.
A Christmas bazaar was the
occasion with each member
bringing gifts. The gifts were
sold and the funds will be used
to carry on expenses of the club.
Dainty party refreshments
were served from a prettily ap
pointed table centered with a
silver tray arranged with fruit.

ments of yellow chrysanthe
mums were used.
