HOME FROM WESTERN TRIP

Cunningham, 83, died at Bailey
Memorial Hospital Saturday aft
ernoon after several years of de
clining health and five days of
illness.
A native of Laurens County,
where he spent his entire life,
he was the son of the late Watt
and Margaret Henderson Cun
ningham. He lived in Clinton 36
years and was employed at Clin
ton Cotton Mills as a carpenter
until his retirement in 1056. He
was a member of Prospect Bap
tist Church. His wife, Mrs. Lillie
Stewart Cunningham, died in
1964.
Surviving are a daughter,
Mrs. Elmer (Bessie) Queen of
Clinton; a son, George H. Cun
ningham of Clinton; a grandson
reared in his home, Jack Cun
ningham of Clinton; five other
grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were con
ducted Monday at 3 p.m. at
