K Candidates
To Report For
Grid Drills Monday
» *Sixty candidates will answer
the call of Presbyterian College
Head Coach Cally Gault Monday
to begin PC’s preparations for
the 1964 football season.
These varsity prospects — In
cluding 25 freshmen hopefuls —
are slated to arrive on campus
Sunday afternoon. They’ll draw
uniforms and equipment Monday
morning, then report to Johnson
Field for a picture-taking and
press session at 2 that afternoon.
The pre-season practice sched
ule gets underway Tuesday,
with" morning and afternoon
drills to continue until Septem
ber 8. During those first few
days, the PC coaches will con
centrate particularly on work
with the tackles, since all five
lettermen tackles from the 1963
season are gone.
After the first week, the Hose-
men will practice only one ses
sion per day, pointing to the
Sept. 19 opener here against
Frederick.
Coach Gault offers a-reminder
to Blue Hose fans that season
tickets are available for PC’s
four home games, and a special
general admission season ticket
is being offered at a savings for
the first time this year. These
tickets can be bought through
the PC athletic department.
