The Todds will leave for Fort Monroe in Norfolk, Va., for their next as signment. They have been on a two-year tour of duty in Korea and returned by way of the Hawaiian Islands where they visited for a week. Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Oglesby of Charlotte, N. C., and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Heyward Net ties of Charleston, were week end guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nettles and family. RETURN TO MARYLAND Mr. and Mrs. Alan Suddeth and sons of Bethesda, Md., re turned Tuesday following a weeks visit with the former’s mother, Mrs. B. H. Suddeth. I Miss Ruth Holland is spend ing several days with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Moy in Omaha, ID. From there she wiU go to LouisviDe, Ky., where she will be a member of the school faculty this year. Mrs. R. C. Adair is visiting at Garden City with Mr. and Mrs. John Cauthen. Eddie Cleland, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Cleland, is leaving today for Crossnore, N. C., where he wiU attend Croas- nore High School. W. G. Duvall of Covington, Ga., spent the week-end with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jones, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Traylor of North Augusta, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Hunter and other relatives. James Austin Chandler of At lanta, Ga., spent the past week-end with his mother, Mrs. J. A. Chandler. He was accompanied home by his daughter, Beth, who had spent last week with her grandmoth er. VISITED IN N. C. Mrs. W. C. Baldwin, Mrs. Hugh Simpson, Mrs. Frank MUler, Mrs. Hubert Pitts, and Miss Agnes Davis left Monday morning for Hemlock Inn in Bryson City, N. C., for several days visit. Dr. and Mrs. Lewis Stephens and children have returned from a weeks stay at Garden City. Mr. and Mrs. John W. San ders and chUdren of Greens boro, N. C., accompanied the latter’s mother, Mrs. Marie Singley of this city, who has been spending some time with the Sanders, for a week-end stay at Myrtle Beach. HAVE ANNIVERSARY The Rev. and Mrs. A. S. Har vey celebrated their 25th wed ding anniversary on August 19. Rev. Harvey is pastor of Broad Street Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Goyne L. Simp son along with Mr. and Mrs. George D. Hess of Charleston, spent last week in Williams burg, Va., and other points of interest. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Brown spent the week-end in Atlanta, Ga., going especially for the wedding of Miss Mar guerite Bearden to Fred Hay. Dr. and Mrs. HoUis Cate and children are vacationing at Brunswick, Ga. AT CAMP GREENVILLE Among Clinton boys attend ing Camp GreenviUe are Tim Timmerman, Everett FuUer, Dirk Von HoUen, Bobby Smith, and Jimmy Walker. The boys have been camping for two weeks and are expected home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Sey mour and sons. Morris, Jr, and Donald, spent last week in Silver Springs and Daytona Beach, Fla. On Friday they returned to Bowman, Ga., where they visited their pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Seymour and Mr. and Mrs. Hailey Brown. RETURN FROM BEACH Mr. and Mrs. Milford Smith and chUdren spent last week at Crescent Beach. Also va cationing there during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith and family, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Longshore and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Taylor and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Madison Pitts and family. Dr. and Mrs. James Keisler and children of Baton Rouge, La., spent the week-end with his,patents. Dr. and Mrs. E. Bryan Keisler. Mrs. Wayne Jarvis and chil dren, Mike, Stanley and Jenny, of Rock HiU, are spending a few days with her mother, Mrs. Ethel R. HOME FROM HOSPITAL Melvin Rowe is convalescing at home foUowing surgery and stay at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. Mr. and Mrs. CarroU Pitts of Spartanburg, visited Mr. and Mrs. Davis Pitts and other relatives during the past week. On Thursday evening, accom panied by Mr. and Mrs. Davis V. Pitts, they were dinner guests of Dr. and Mrs. John Lake in Ware Shoals. Donald F. Wells, A. N., of the U. S. Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Fla., is spending a seven-day leave with his pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed WeUs, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy De Young of GreenviUe, visited the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin DeYoung, on Sun day. Little Bob Wilder of Shelby, N. C., is spending this week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Wilder, whUe his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donnie WUder, are vacationing at Sea Island, Ga. Mrs. Melvin Furr and chU dren, Suzanne and Amelia, of Lancaster, spent several days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. C. MclnvaiUe. GO TO DILLON Mr. and Mrs. Dick Casque leave Saturday for Dillon where they will make their home. Mr. Casque will be bead track coach and assistant foot ball and basketball coach. Mrs. Casque wiU be a member of the elementary school faculty. Mrs. Laura May Howard has returned from a weeks’ stay at Ridgecrest. N. C. where she at tended the W. M. U. Convention. Miss Beth Chandler has re turned to her home in Atlanta, Ga., having spent the weekend with her grandmother, Mrs. Aus tin Chandler Beth is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs J. A. Chand ler. Dr< and Mrs. Marshall Brown were in Myrtle Beach earUer this week as guests of the South Carolina Broadcasters Associa tion. Dr. Brown, an honorary member for the past four years, served as chairman of the awards committee. Also attend ing the convention were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Bagwell. Mr. Bag- well is one of the six district di rectors of the association. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Savelkoul and daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Alfio Undari and family spent the weekend at Myrtle Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Don Creighton and children spent several days last week at Myrtle Beach. Other Clintonians vacationing there were Mr. and Mrs. James Tiller, and Mr. and Mrs. John McBride.
