McKinney of Hampton, formerly of this city, entertained on Friday at noon with a luncheon at the Mary Musgrove Hotel in honor of Misses Bootsie Horton and Tre- cie Davis, future brides. A pink color note was fea tured in arrangements of gladi- ola and carnations graced with silver candelabra holding pink burning tapers. Twenty guests were seated at an appointed table marked with delicate pink place cards tied with miniature bouquets. Out of town guests included Mrs. Fleming Harris of Colum bia, and Mrs. Jake Rasor of Cross Hill. Each of the brides-elect were remembered with a gift. Bridge Forty Given For Mrs. Stewart Mrs. Thornton Stewart, the former Miss Joanne Todd, was entertained on Friday after noon by Miss Louise Speake with a bridge party at the Speake home on Walnut Street. Two tables were in play, with roses making a beautiful sum mer setting. Following several progres sions of bridge, a salad course with punch was served. Miss Nancy Neighbors was presented a gift for having high score for the afternoon. The hostess also remembered Mrs. Stewart with a gift. She was gradu ated from Presbyterian College and is presently employed by the DeKalb County, Ga., Board of Education. A beautiful centerpiece of white gladioli and chrysanthe mums marked the luncheon table. Miss Horton was presented a white chrysanthemum corsage upon arrival and also remem bered with a gift of silver in her chosen pattern. LUNCHEON IN GREENVILLE The Greenville Country Club in Greenville was the setting for a luncheon in honor of Miss Bootsie Horton on Tuesday, June 10. Mrs. Robert Anderson and daughters, Nancy and Su san, of Greenville, were host esses for the occasion. Upon arrival, the honoree was given a pink orchid cor sage and presented to some 18 guests. A pink motif was echoed in arrangements of carnations and white mums gracing the luncheon table and in place cards marking individual set tings. The bride-elect was given a gift of a silver dinner bell by the hostesses. MORNING COKE PARTY Mrs. B. F. Wingard. Mrs. E. A. Horton, Mrs. Thad Johnson, Jr., and Mrs. William Davis were hostesses for a morning coke party on Wednesday, July 1, at the Wingard home on W. Walnut Street Miss Bootsie Horton, bride- elect of ,Jake Rasor, Jr., of Cross Hill, and whose marriage will be an event of Saturday, July 11, was the honored guest. Kinards — Mrs. Carrie Parks McKittrick, 81, wife of Rev. James R. McKittrick, died at 7 p.m. Thursday at a local hos pital. A native of Lancaster County, daughter of the late William H. and Marie Thornburg Parks, she was a member of Bush River Baptist Church. Surviving in addition t5 her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Laura Lemmond of Brunswick. Ga.: two sons. James L. Mc Kittrick of Simpsonville and Rev. Park McKittrick of Clin ton: a sister, Mrs. Elbe Culp of Fort Mill; three brothers, O. S. Parks of Savannah, Ga., A. L. Parks of Fort Mill and R. A. Parks of Burlington, N. C.; sev en grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were con ducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bush River Baptist Church by Rev. T. G. Daun and Rev. J. B. Mitchell.
