On Friday, Johnny Walker, Mrs. Frank Walker and Mary motored to the mountains. Sgt. and Mrs. Fred Revis and children spent two weeks here with her sister, Mrs. Bobby Johnson and Mr. Johnson as he was changing stations from Bal timore, to Puerto Rico. Miss Olive Coker arrived Saturday from California for a visit with her sister before she returns to Baltimore, Md., where she is em ployed. Ronnie Smith of Fountain Inn is visiting his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Smith. Other guests of Mr. and Mrs. Smith during the week’s holidays were Ronnie’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Smith and children; Rev. and Mrs. Martin Wilbanks, Mrs. Lee Powers and Joyce of Clin ton, Mrs. Fannie Kirby and Shelby of Greenville. Mrs. Alice Snider and Mrs. Nell Mills, Donald Snider and Miss Elsie Marshall spent sev eral days vacationing in Pan ama City, Fla., last week with the former’s son, Sgt. and Mrs. Harold Snider. While, there they visited other points of interest in Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Pierce and son of Atlanta, Ga., have been visiting his parents, Rev. and Mrs. I. N. Pierce. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Moore and family vacationed at Ocean Drive last week. Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Harvey and Dianna were vacationers at Cherokee, N. C., and Chatta nooga, Tenn., last week visiting many points of interest in the mountains enroute. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crowell and family of Detroit, Mich., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Bagwell. Mrs. Kenneth Meeks and chil dren of Columbia were guests of her mother-in-law, Mrs. Frances Meeks a few days last week. On Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. C. A Oswalt of Joanna visited her sis ter, Mrs. Meeks. - Mr. and Mrs. Paul Re vis have returned after a week’s vacation in Portland, Oregon with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Petty and in Anacortes, Wadi, with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Bogue and family. The Revises went via Jet plane. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Carroll and family and Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Brown and family at Blowing Rock N. C., and other places of interest in the Moun tains of N. C. They all had a ride on the Tweetsie Train. Miss Beatrice White has gone to Milwaukee, Wis., to be with her sister, Mrs. John Moeller and Mr. Moeller. Mrs Moeller is recuperating following an op eration at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Milwaukee. Mrs. Moeller is a sister to Mr. Jack White and is a former Clinton resident. . Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pace spent a few days vacationing in various places in the mountains of North Carolina. A large number of the Lydia Church of God members went to Mauldin for the night services of the Church of God Camp meet ing last week. RETIRES FROM SERVICE Mr. and Mrs. BiU Lewis have returned to Clinton to make their home following his retirement of 21 years active duty in the U. S. Army. He received his discharge June 30 in Anniston, Ala. Mrs. Lewis is the former Daisy Grant.
