Lions Club
To Hove
family Picnic
The Lions Club will entertain
its members and their families
at a picnic supper at the Mary
Lou Ranch at 6:30 p. m., tomor
row night. Reservations were to
have been made in advance, ac
cording to Sarnie Pinson, presi
dent.
In charge of arrangements,
which will include games before
supper, is Dr. Dan Orr.

man and children of Memphis,
Tenn., have been visiting rela
tives in Clinton this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Callie Gault, and
daughters, Emmie Ann and Joy,
returned Tuesday night from a
week’s stay at the World’s Fair
in New York City.
Cradle Roll and Youth
Week To Be Observed
At 1st Baptist Church
In the Sunday morning Wor
ship Service June 14th the First
Baptist Church will honor the
parents and members of the
Cradle Roll Department.
Saturday afternoon June 13th
kicks off Youth Week with Mike
Johnson leading a devotional
period. Some of the weeks’ ac
tivities include Youth led Sunday
School, Prayer meeting, Music,
Recreational and Visitation pro
grams. The highlights of the
week will include a hayride to the
Laurens Baptist Assembly and a
spaghetti supper the following
night.

Club This Evening
Stan Finch, director of public
relations and sales training of
Texize Chemicals, will address
the Clinton Kiwanis Club this
Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the
ballroom of the Mary Musgrove
Hotel.
This widely known lecturer
and author in the field of sales
motivation is to speak on "Com
munications,” stressing how to
get the word across to people in
organizations and business of
various types.

Girls Recreation
Girls between the ages of nine
and 14 are urged to participate
in the recreation program spon
sored by the City Recreation
Commission, which will include
volleyball, archery, softball,
kickball and badminton.
They will observe the follow
ing schedule:
Monday—Hampton, north and
south, at Clinton High School;
ages ff-11 from 2:30 to 3:30; age*
12-14 from 3:30 to 4:30.
Tuesday—Bailey, at Clinton
Mill Park; ages 0-11 from 2:30
to 3:30; ages 12-14 from 3:30 to
4:30.

School.
