Whitmire road after spending
several weeks with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Smith in Clin
ton.
Mrs. J. B. Johnson visited her
* father, C. C.Uldrick, on Tues
day. He is a patient in the An
derson hospital.
Ryan Poag, Cal Johnson, Mrs.
Sehila Warren and Dawn of Bal
timore, Md., spent the Easter
holidays with Mr. an Mrs. Luth
er Poag.
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Poag vis
ited Mrs, Poag’s mother, Mrs.
Guy Corbin, other friend* and
relatives in Spartanburg on Mon
day. The Poags moved to Whit
ten Village recently where they
are both employed.
In visiting her grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Lawson, in
Greenville last week-end Mrs.
Violet Strand ran into an old
schoolmate, Mrs. Jennie Os
borne,, whom she had not seen in
many years.
Mrs. Frank Phillips spent
three days last week in Char
lotte, N. C., with her son, Carl
Phillips, a patient at the Pres
byterian hospital. This week
Rev. and Mrs. Russell Dean,
Adair and Russ of Blackstone,
Va., were guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Phillips.
Wayne and Betty Jo Montjoy
visited her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Wham, in Fountain
Inn Sunday. The Montjoys are
making their home here since
their marriage on January 24.
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Owens,
Keith, Jessie and Ricky, visited
Mr. and Mrs. Harley Lyons in
the Fork section near Waterloo
Sunday.
Mrs. Patricia Finley is visiting
Mrs. Mattie Gilmer and other
friends and relatives and will re
main for several weeks. Mr.
Finley serves in the Navy.
Fredna Ross, student at Wil
liam and Mary College, Wil
liamsburg, Va., spent the spring
holidays with her grandmother

spent Thursday and Friday in
Charleston.
Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Craig and
Crystell visited Mr. and Mrs.
Leon Craig and family in Green
ville on Sunday, and Hugh Craig
in the General hospital there.
Saturday visitors in Greenville
were Mrs. B. M. Nabors and
Mack.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Boyce
were recent visitors of Mr. and
Mrs. Eckard Boyce and other
friends and relatives in Sumter.
Other visitors of the Boyces were
Mrs. Josie Boyce and Mrs. Reba
Bragg
Mr. and Mrs. Nick Ayers
family of Newberry, were guests
of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ginn on
Saturday evening.
Mrs. Gene Bishop and Mrs.
McNeal Trotter visited their
mother, Mrs. L. H. Rinehart, in
Batesburg on Sunday.
Friends will be interested to
know that Mr. and Mrs. Dickie
Trotter are now making their
home in Columbia.
Willia Rae McGowan was in
Columbia on business Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Jenkins
and Johnette attended a birth
day dinner in Greenwood on Sun
day honoring Vernon Sexton.
Gail Murphy and Shirley Es
tes were home from Winthrop
college, Rock Hill, over the
week-end.
Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Boyce
spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Guy Misenheimer and Mel in
Rock Hill. They went especially
to attend the Christening of Mel
at the Presbyterian Church.
David Poag of Whitmire, was
an overnight guest on Saturday
of Mr. and Mrs. David Gogan.
Mr. and Mrs. Derrill Bozard,
Martin and Margaret, and Mrs.
J. M. Bozard visited Mr. and
Mrs. Luther Oxner near Whit
mire on Sunday.

Faye, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolf Pra
ter and Kent spent Sunday in
Spartanburg with Mr. and Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Martin of
Waterloo, were week-end guests
of Mrs. L. D. Edmonds, Dora and
series score with 522. You won’t
want to miss the game on Tues
day at 6:30 when the Jets and
Loggers challenge each other.
On Wednesday at 7:30 the
Mrs. G. N. Foy attended the
Junior class play at the Lanrens
High School on Friday evening.
Her sister, Mrs. Ruth Riddle, di
rected the play.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Killian and
