Depressing sight, isn’t it? And what is it we.
sey when something old, familiar, once-cherished,
once-uaeful has succumbed to the ravages of time?
It Merv«d its purpose!
Could all the churches in our town someday
look like this?
They could!
Maybe they trill...
if they have served their purpose ...
_ if we don’t need them anymore!
Even if you haven’t been getting to church of
late, I think you’ll protest that we DO need our
churches. We need the truth they teach — the faith
they instill — the hope they inspire — the God-
given strength with which they undergird our life.
This is the very point: We ALL need our
churches.
And to bring ALL of us to realize and fulfill
our need ...
That is their purpose!
TK OHn FHILL • Hi FH IK CMH
The Church is the greatest
factor on earth for the build
ing of character and good
citizenship. It is a storehouse
of spiritual values. Without
a strong church, neither
democracy not civilization
can survive. There are four
sound reasons why every
person should attend services
regularly and support the
church. They are: (1) For his
own sake. (2) For his chil
dren’s sake. (3) For the sake
of his community and nation.
(4) For the sake of the church
itself, which needs his moral
and material support. Plan
to go to church regularly
and read your Bible daily.
