the Moore Tours of Charlotte and
enjoyed a week’s trip of sight
seeing.

MISS JOHNSON ELECTED
TO STUDENT COUNCIL
Janet Johnson has recently
been elected to the Student Coun
cil at Winthrop College, being
chosen hoys e councilor for Rod-
dey Hall. Janet has been classi
fied as a sophomore, having
been exempted from the equiva
lent of a semester’s work last
fall. She was invited to join an
Honors Seminar this semester
as one of a select group of stu
dents chosen by the Honors
Council on the basis of scholar
ship and leadership. Janet is also
serving as social chairman of
her dormitory for the Winthrop
Fine Arts Association.

Mrs. Margaret Barry and
daughter, and Mr. and Mrs.
George P. Brown of Laurens en
joyed a fish dinner on Saturday
at the Panorama Lodge.
