Mrs. Odie Nelson and Jimmy, Mrs. Horace Carroll and Larry [McCravy visited Sunday with Mr. Nelson at State Park. Nathan Gilstrap of Clemaon College, was home for the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gilstrap, Jr. Mrs Hugh Ballard, Misses Peggy and Marion Ballard and Mrs. Lester Eustace and Gail were business visitors in Green ville Friday. • Mrs. Edith Cox of Laurens, is visiting her mother, Mrs. Minnie Wofford, and sister, Mrs. Hallie Campbell. Visiting them Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Glenn and family of Greenville. Others visiting them during the week end and recently due to the se rious illness of Mrs. Wofford were her brothers and their fam ilies, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Wof ford, Mr. and Mrs. T. Folkes of Danville, Va., Mr. and Mrs. Les ter L. Wofford and Lanie Wofford of High Point, N. C., and Richard L. Wofford of Nashville, Tenn. Also Mr .and Mrs. Henry Holley and children of Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Cox and’Rev. and Mrs. J. B. Abercrombie of Laurens. Hughey and daughters were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Hughey in Spartanburg, and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Henderson in Pacolet. Mrs. Frank McKibben, Mrs. Lonnie Rabon and son of Fort Mill, and Miss Kay Roberts of Columbia, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. David H. Rob erts. 4TH GRADE CAMP FIRE ACTIVITIES The fourth grade Camp Fire group of girls are busy these days working on the Trail Seekers rank and others. The girls made flower plant ers and carried them to shut-ins last week. A hike and picnic is planned for this week. Mrs. R. E. Whitmire is leader of this group. CLUB MEETS TONIGHT The Lydia Woman’s Club will meet Thursday (tonight) at 7:30 at the community building. All members are asked to bring their money from the cook book sale and the New York trip de posit. Guest speaker will be M. L. Outz, Laurens county farm agent. His topic will be on gar dening and the care of lawns, etc. MRS. JOHNSON HONNORED WITH DINNER The family of Mrs. R. G. John son honored her with a birthday dinner Sunday at the home of her son, Bobby, and Mrs. Johnson, with whom she makes her home. Enjoying the day with Mrs. John- sond and the Bobby Johnson fam ily were: Mrs. Curtis Hadden, Mish Judy Hadden, Mrs. Juanita Coker and Miss Jackie Coker of Duncan; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cody and family of Spartanburg; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnson and Richard of Easley; Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Johnson and son of Greenville. Also Mrs. Bobby Johnson’s brother, Harold Coker, SN, who is spending a leave with his sister. He is stationed at Long Beach, Calif. PINK AND BLUE PARTY ENJOYED Friday evening Mrs. Ronnie Pace was honored with a pink and blue shower at the home of Mrs. Odie Nelson, with Mrs. Bob by Maner and Mrs. Horace Car- orll as co-hostesses.
