Rites Conducted
For E. C. Longshore
Funeral services for E. Clyde
Longshore, 82, a retired employee
of Lydia and Clinton Cotton
Mills, were conducted Friday at
4 p.m. at Bailey Memorial Meth
odist Church by Rev. Julian
Weisner and Rev. J. W. Spillers.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery,
Clinton Mill.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
Mr. Longshore died last
Wednesday at Bailey Memorial
Hospital after several months of
declining health.
A native of Newberry County,
he lived here 40 years and wasi
a member of Bailey Memorial ’
Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Eula R. Longshore; two daugh
ters, Mrs. Mary Johnson of Clin
ton and Mrs. Geneva Passmore
of Joanna; and several grand
children.
