and sons were last week-end
guests of Dr. and Mrs. T. M.
Moore in Rembert.
Overnight guests at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Harris in
Atlanta, Ga., on Friday were Bill
Simpson. Also Vicki Boyd and
DeloresvPassmore, who were
guests at the Grddy Memorial
Hospital Nursing School.
Mr. and Mrs. O’Dell Ruth, Mrs.
Delores Roberson, Kathy and
Mike of Chester, were last Sun
day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mac
Smith.
Edward R. Thomas, AE1, Mrs.
Thomas and son son, Ralph, who
have been in Brunswick^ Ga., for
the past 16 months, are visiting
Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Thomas.
They will also spend part of
his 15-day leave with her parents)
Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Jenkins, in
Meridian, Miss., where Mrs.
Thomas and Ralph will remain
for a visit, and Mr. Thomas will
report to Jacksonville, Fla., his
new assignment.

Mrs. Jeanette Gardner is em
ployed at Young’s Pharmacy in
Clinton. S-Sgt. Harold L. Gardne 1 *
of Shaw AFB, Sumter, spent the
week-end with Mrs. Gardner and
children.
Mrs. Rhett Abrams was dis
charged from the Spartanburg
General hospital last Monday
where she underwent surgery.
Before returning home on Friday
she visited her sister and fam
ily, Mr. and Mrs. John Weathers.
Mrs. Edwin Thomas, Mr. and
Mrs. James Fulmer and family
were Saturday visitors in Green-
ville.
Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Caldwell
spent last week-end in Spartan
burg with Mr. and Mrs. Russell
Burns.

toes on February 4 when they
took the Lydia Lions 3 to 1. Geo.
Morse bowled a score of 221, but
Earl Sineath topped that with
231 for high score and high series
score of 587. On February 18
they will challenge Home-Art of
Greenwood at 6:30 p. m.

VALENTINE PARTY
The Woman’s Chib entertained
residents of the county home on
Saturday afternoon with a Valen
tine party. The highlight of the
party was the tape recording of
the entire group singing and then
listening to the replay. Other
games were enjoyed, however,
and each was presented cards
and a box of candy. Refresh
ments were served.

in Fort Worth, Texas. While in
this vicinity, Miss Shelton will be
guest soloist at the South Caro
lina Baptist Evangelistic Confer
ence in Columbia. She has been
director of the Baptist Home
Choir for radio and TV since
1959 and was soloist for five
years preceding that.
