ill in Self Memorial Hospital in
Greenwood, Sunday evening.

stay a few days with her sister
and with her family in Ware
Shoals.
Mr. and Mrs. David Word
were Saturday visitors in Spar
tanburg. Mr. and Mrs. Pete
Kelley and children of Gaffney
visited his mother, Mrs. Ike
Jones and Mr. Jones on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Davis
and family, were in Union on
Friday for the funeral services
of Mr. Walter Eubanks, the fa
ther of Yancy Eubanks, the Da

office before March 1.
Miss Culbertson pointed out that it is absolutely necessary
that returns be made on real and personal property, includ
ing'motor vehicles. The proper listing and paying of your
taxes on your motor vehicles may save your driver’s license.

. Any change made in real estate during 1963—transfer of
lands; new buildings and improvements on buildings, also any
building destroyed by fire or removed for any other cause
should be reported.
It is also necessary that we have the correct mailing ad
dress of all taxpayers, if you are to receive your tax notices
at the proper time, saving yourself costs and penalties.

, This is for the Bluebirds of
the Second and Third Grades
and Campfires of the fourth,
fifth and sixth grades.
Each one is to bring a box
supper for dad and daughter.
Prizes will be given for the
prettiest box in the Blue Bird
and Campfire groups.
A film of the Lydia girls at
camp in past years will be
shown along with other enter
tainment — all dads are urged
to attend.

Pvt. Billy Bishop
Takes Arnjy Course
Pvt. Billy G. Bishop, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Eugene J. Bishop, 415
Pickens St., Joanna, completed
an eight week communications
center specialist course Jan. 17
at the Army Southeastern Signal
School, Fort Gordon, Ga.
Bishop was trained- in the use
of teletype sets, in tape relay op
erations and in manual switching
procedures.
The 18-year-old soldier entered
the Army in August 1963 and
completed basic training at Fort
Jackson.
Bishop is a 1963 graduate of
Clinton High School.
