All we CHS’ers truly enjoy ed our lovely respite from the labors of higher learning dur ing Thanksgiving. In other words, it was nice not.having lessons to study. However for most hard-work ing seniors the holidays afford ed little rest. Note cards for their English term papers are due next week, and this long week-end just seemed made for us to get some of this pressing work done. Therefore we spent long hours pouring over back issues of magazines and reading books on every subject from “The Rise of Hitler" to “The Treatment of Schizophrenics." But don’t think we brave old seniors are the only ones who ever do any work we just grumble more about^tt! - The underclassmen also had paral lei books to read and projects to plan. A few jolly juniors had a very special task to complete this week-end—perfecting their parts for “Where’s Laurie,” this year’s Junior Play, which will be given tomorrow night in the CHS auditorium. From the whispered conver sations I’ve managed to eves- drop upon, and from the in- CARD OF THANKS, The family of the late Mrs. Hattie Eddy Livingston wish to thank their friends, neighbors and relatives for the many expressions of sympathy at the time of her death. The floral offerings, the food, cards and many other kindnesses were deeply appreciated. formation I’ve wheedle out of PC Basketeers Face Charleston Here Tonight at 8 “Presbyterian College should have a better basketball season this year for two reasons—exper ience and attitude!" This is the opinion of Coach Art Musselman—facing his first year as PC’s cage mentor—as his Blue Hose prepare for their 1963-64 home opener Thursday night against the College of Charleston. Game time is 8 p. m. in Leroy Springs gymnasium. One of the biggest hurdles fac ing the Hosemen during the 20- game schedule is a lack of height. The only tall starter is 6-6 center Doug Allen, a sopho more from Sumter. He’s expect ed to handle most of the pivot duties, with help coming from Bill Brown of Gaffney. The best PC bet for post-season honors is Captain Andy Karlsons of New York City, expected to cop team scoring honors for the fourth straight year. He had a 17-point average last year.
