Anita Jocks, 3 Years,
Passes After Illness
Anita Cassanova Jacks, three-
year-old daughter of James R.
and Anita Cassanova Jacks, died
late Wednesday, Nov. 27, at her
home, Rt. 1, Clinton, after four
months of illness.
She was
in Laurens Coun
ty.
Surviving in addition to the
parents are a brother, James R.
Jacks Jr., of the home; a sister,
Susan Jacks of the home; the pa
ternal grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. A. B. Jacks of Rt. 1, Clin
ton; and the maternal grand
mother, Mrs. M. Cassanova of
Clinton; and the paternal great
grandmother, Mrs. Sallie S.
Adair of Rt. 1, Clinton.
Funeral services were conduct
ed Friday at 3 p.m. at Gray
Funeral Home by Rev. Gerald
E. Ernst. Burial was in Lees-
ville Methodist Chlurch ceme
tery near Clinton.
Pallbearers were Erskine A.
Jacks, Phil Rogers, Adrian A.
Cassanova and F. E. Robbins.
Wilma Young
Wilma Charlene Young, infant
daughter pf William Edgar and
Bonnie Jean Sock well Young,
died Friday at Bailey Memorial
Hospital.
Sucviving in addition to the
parents are three brothers, Rich
ard, James Lee and William Ed
gar Young Jr., of the home; and
the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Edgar Lee Young of Clinton and
Mr. and Mrs.. W. L. Sockwell of
Fort Worth, Tex.
Graveside services were con
ducted Saturday at 3 p. m. > at
Rosemont Cemetery by Rev.
James W. Welch Jr.

Hollingsworth^58, of 406 Laurens
St., died Tuesday morning, Nov.
26, at Bailey -Memorial, Hospital,
after eight months of iUnes.
He was a native of Laurens
County where he spent most of
his life. Son of the late Andrew
H. and Beulah McCrary Hol
lingsworth, he lived here many
years. He was employed by Jo
anna Cotton Mills and was a
member of Epworth Methodist
Church and the Loyal Order of
Moose.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Kathleen Whitley Hollingsworth;
a son, James I. Hollingsworth
Jr., of the Air Force at Amaril
lo, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Don
(Sara) Boozer of Charlotte, N-
C.; two sisters, Mrs. Rush (Ger
trude) Nabors of Laurens and
Mrs. John A. (Helen) Davis of
Clinton; a nephew, whom he
reared, Andrew Pearce Hol
lingsworth of the Navy at Pen
sacola, Fla.; and two grendchil-
dren.
Funeral services were conduct-
de Thursday at 3:30 p.m., at
Epworth Methodist Church by
Rve. Hubert Thomas, Rev
James B. Mitchell and Rev Per
ry Turner. Burial was in Rose
mont Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lester Hair,
Bill Boyd, James Simpson, Ru
dolph Prater, Ralph Prater, Guy
Prater, R. B. Smith and Louie
Nabors.
Thomwell Opens
Court Slate Tonight
Thomwell High School basket
ball teams will open their season
with a doubleheader tonight
(Thursday) in the Thomwell
gym against recreation teams
from Joanna.
The boys’ game will start at
7:00, to be followed by the girls’
game at 8:15.
