the week-end of Mr. and Mrs.
W. S. Horne and Bill Horne.
Joining them on Sunday were
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Seabrook,
Jr., of Pickens.
MOVE TO FAYETTEVILLE
Sgt. and Mrs. Marvin E. Dun
bar and family left Saturday fof
Fayetteville, N. C., where they
will make their home. Sgt. Dun
bar is stationed at Fort - Bragg,
N. C., with the Seventh Special
Forces.
Miss Karen White of Aiken, is
spending some time here with
her grandmother, Mrs. O. B.
King.

Mrs. Robert Wysor, in, is
spending this week at Montreat,
N. C., where she is attending a
school of music. Her children,
Sarah Lynn and Robbie, will Join
her on the week-end and they will
be guests of Mrs. Joseph Gettys
in her Montreat home.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Aull of
Pendleton, spent several days re

convalescing following a tonsil-

PROMOTED TO CAPTAIN
Ernest C. Hipp, Jr. has re
ceived his promotion to Captain
in the U. S. Navy. Captain Hipp
is cuirently on duty as a mem
ber of the War College Staff at
Newport, Rhode Island. He is
the son of Mrs. Ernest C. Hipp
of Wilmington, N. C. and was a
former resident of this city.
