Star, held in Columbia Monday
through Wednesday.

on Wednesday of last week.
Friends will be sorry to know
that. Rev. D. W. Moody, pastor
of the Lydia Church of God, is ill
at -the home of his daughter, Mrs.
A. E. Hughes and Mr. Hughes, in
Pendleton. Mrs. Moody was
home for Sunday; but returned
to Pendleton to be with her hus
band. Mrs. Shirley Tribble has
returned to her home in Alexan
dria, Va., after visiting her pa
rents, Rev. and Mrs. Moody.

W. Abercrombie of Lydia.
The marriage was performed
in Greenwood December 24, 1962.
Mrs . Abe r c r o m h i e is the
granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.
F. L. Thornburg, and will remain
here with them,while Mr. Aber
crombie is in the Navy. He spent
the past 11 days. here. He is
aboard the USS Independence
docked at Norfolk, Va., and was
to sail this week for Cuba.
