Mr. and Mrs. Belton Jackson spent the week-end with their parents in Duncan. FAMILY GATHERING On Sunday,the members of the Sexton family gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Vance for a family picnic. Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Horace Gray and Sir. and Mrs. Russell Dendy, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Montgomery. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sexton and Mrs. Wil lie Alexander, Laurens; and Mr. and Mrs.' L. R. Gray of this city. Mr .and Mrs. Rufus Handback spent Sunday in Milledgeville, Ga., with their sob, Ned, where he marched in the special Moth er’s Day parade. Mr. and Mrs. William Black- well spent the weekend in Flor ence with Mr. Blackwell’s par ents, Mr. and Mrs.JiL W. Black- well. Mrs. Fuller Reese, Sr., was guest of her son and daughter- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fuller Reese, Jr., and family during the Mother’s Day week-end. Mr. and Mrs. William W. Hutto of Reevesville were guests over the week-end of Mrs. Hutto’s par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl L. Chandler who returned home with their daughter and son-in-law for a visit of several days. Miss Linda Copeland of Ander son College was home with her parents Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Cope land, Jr., over the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Line and family of Atlanta spent the week end with Mrs. Line’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Winn. Mrs. Hairy Davis and daugh ter, Elizabeth and Miss Wiley Da vis of Charleston were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs, Lawrence Davis. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Young over the Mother’s Day week-end were Rev, and Mrs. C. Davis Young of Aberdeen, Miss., Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Dow of Knoxville, Tenn., Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kastory of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Williams and son Hap, of Char lotte, N. C. JOE HOLCOMBE AT HOME Joe Holcombe returned to his home here on Thursday following several months stay at Warm Springs, Ga. Evin Varner spent the holiday week-end with his family, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Varner, in Ben- nettsville. Mrs. A. C. Varner, Sr., of Concord, N. C., who had spent the previous week with Evin, ac companied him to Bennetsville for a stay there. - Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Warren and Larry spent the weekend in Charlotte, N. C. with their daugh ter, Mrs. Bryan Coates and Mr Coates. On Sunday, they visited Mr. Warren’s mother in Lincoln- ton, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Seymour and sons visited with their par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Sey mour and Mr. and Mrs. Haley Brown in Bowman, Ga., over the Mother’s Day week-end. Creighton and children, Jim and Kathy, spent the Mother’s Day weekend with Mr. Creighton’s mother, Mrs. J. M. Creighton in Atlanta. Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Earle, Jr., and sons, Jeff and Greg, of Washington, Ga., visited with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller and family Sunday afternoon. Miss Celia Gasque, Columbia College, Dick Gasque; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gasque, Erskine Col lege, Due West visited parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gasque dur ing the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Bagwell spent last week in Lakeland, Fla., with Mr. and Mrs. Will Allen Addy. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Mrs. Thelma Wells and sisters visited with Miss Myrtle Chand ler in De La Howe Schools on Sunday.
