JUNIOR HIGH NEWS
Architects are busily making
plans and measuring the grounds
and building for the addition of
three new classrooms. The' new
rooms will aid in relieving the
crowded conditions of our school.
The student council recently
gave a play entitled “What
Makes It Tick?” Proceeds are to
go to the purchase of a flag pole,
to be erected on the school
grounds. The play was written
and directed by Mrs. R. P. Wil
der. About $97 was raised from
the admissions.
MRS. TURNER SPEAKS
Last Thursday, Mrs. Marvin
Turner showed pictures she had
taken while on a visit to the Holy
Land as a special Easter pro
gram for the student body. She
also gave a narration which in
cluded quotations from the Bible,
many times perfectly quoting
the Scriptures.
Mr. John H. Fulmer, JHS
principal, said, That was one of
the most beautiful narrations I
have ever heard.”
SCIENCE FAIR
Congratulations are due to
Neely Copeland for winning third
place in the Science Fair here in
Clinton and to Harry Sullivan for
winning honorable mention. Nee

High were given the opportunity
of going to Greenville to com
pete in the Science Fair at Fur
man.
Clinton Junior High has been
proud to announce that Jack’s
outstanding rock collection won
third place in the geology divi
sion there. Buses were provided
as school transportation for the
students who entered science pro
jects to go to Greenville.

school recently after being out
for appendectomies.
