The models for the event included, left to right, Mrs. Clyde Trammell, Miss Marie Weir, Miss Nellie Osbomej Mrs. Ralph Riddle, Mrs. Fred Bodie and Mrs. B. P. Lark. Harvey Foster, Mrs. Laura Mae Howard and Mrs. Ed Wells, Sr., attended the State WMU conven tion at the Pendleton Street Bap tist Church in Greenville on Tuesday as members from Da vidson Street Baptist Church. They also attended the pageant at McAlister auditorium at Fur man University that Evening. Jimmy Sullivan returned Sun day to Episcopal High, in Alex andria, Va., after spending the holidays wih this parents. Dr. and Mrs. E. N. Sullivan. RETURN FROM VACATION Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bonds have returned from a vacation trip to New Orleans, La., and Natchez, Miss., and other points of inter est. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Holland visited Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hol land in Seneca Sunday. Mrs. J. R. Holland has returned from the Anderson hospital following sur gery and is convalescing at home. PC's Spring Sports Get Into High Gear Presbyterian' College’s spring high gear this Friday, launching an 11-engagement home stand during a seven day period from March 29 to April 5. Here is a rundown of the week- long slate of events which in cludes three baseball games, two track meets, four tennis matches and two golf engagements at Clinton: The baseball team will open the activity against Virginia Mili tary Institute Friday afternoon, and will meet VMI again Satur day. Wofford will visit the Hose Thursday, April 4, opening the Little Four diamond season. The Blue Hose track team faces its opening meet Friday, an engagement with Wofford, and will compete with Lenoir Rhyne Tuesday. This will complete home action for the cindermen until after the Carolina-State Re lays April 6. Shifting to the tennis courts, the spring sports schedule will give home fans their first look at the net team Tuesday in a match with Fort Eustis (Va.); action will continue with the Hosemen meeting Harvard in Wednesday and Thursday matches, and Amherst in an en counter Friday. PC’s golfers will also resume action after a weeks’ layoff with a match against Wofford’s links- men Tuesday, and will take on East Tennessee State Friday. Training Union Meet Tonight at Edgefield The Western Regional Training Union Convention will be held at the First Baptist Church, Edge- field, tonight with the session be ginning at 7:00 p.m. Sword Drill eliminations will be conducted for Juniors and In termediates. Representatives of five associations will participate in both these and the Better Speakers Tournament for Young People. These events will be un der the direction of Mrs. James A. Howard and James Smith- wick, who will be representing the State Traiping Union Depart ment. The regional president, Alvin F. Boone, urges attendance on the part of interested persons in Abbeville, Edgefield, Laurens, Rtedy River, and Ridge Associa tions.
