John Eichelberger and Jimmy Young leave June 28 for 6 weeks summer R O T C camp at Fort Bragg, N. C. ON TRIP Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Wallace with Mrs. Floyd Coates of Mount- ville leave tomorrow for a three week’s chartered bus tour to Cal- fornia and Mexico. They will join the tour in Charlotte. A. C. Holland of Falcon, N. C., was a visitor here yesterday. Chuck Giles is attending sum mer school at Erskine College, Due West. VISIT RELATIVES Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bolt and daughter of Garland, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bolt and children of Phoenix, Arizona have been visiting sister, Mrs. Jack Red and other relatives, coming es pecially for the Bolt reunion at Lake Greenwood. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Johnson recently attended the Carolinas- Virginia purchasing agents con vention at Blowing Rock, N. C. Dick Gasque is attending Ers kine College Summer school. Mrs. K. R. CONVALESCING L. Troy Watts is convalescing following eye surgery at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jim Bur gess in Florence. He {dans to re turn to his home in Mountvllle the latter part of the week. EDUCATIONAL MEET Dr. and Mrs, M. W. Brown were in Williamsburg, Va., June 19-16 for a two-day meeting of the Southern Regional Education Board. Mrs. John Griffin Pitts has re turned from a visit in Augusta, Ga., with her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Holcombe and Mr. Hol combe. While there she and Mrs. Holcombe were called to Macon, Ga., because of the death Of their nephew and cousin, Ralph P. Adair, Jr. WITH MOTHER Mrs. Sam Chambers, Jr., of Memphis Tenn. and Miss Carolyn Quarles of Columbia are visiting their mother, Mrs. R. H. Quarles. Later this week they will Join friends from Columbia and Tim- monsville at Myrtle Beach for a stay. Steve Kenrick of North Augus ta is spending the week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. F. Beaty has enlisted in the Navy and left this week for Great Lakes Naval Training cen ter, where he is taking boot training.
