Littleton Shines in Game
Clinton s Kinard Littleton was a star performer in Satur-
d.tv s Shrine Bowl game in Charlotte. The fleet Clinton High
Sehool halfback thrilled the packed stadium with two punt re
turns and a kickoff return, all of more than 40 yards, one inter-
eepted pass, and capped his brilliant performance with the
final touchdown of the day when he snagged a pass in the
end zone, jumping from between two defenders.
Littleton played the greater part of the game and Clinton
listeners to the radio broadcast were somewhat disappointed
when he failed to receive the vote of judges as the game’s out
standing back.
The contest between teams of senior players representing
teams from South Carolina and North Carolina for benefit of
the Shriner’s Hospital for crippled children in Greenville, Is an
annual affair in Charlotte. A check for S200,()00 was turned over
to hospital officials.
The South Carolinians won the game, 24-0, their third Straight
victory.
