Sgt. and Mrs. Tommy Huskey
and children arrived at the home

Monday morning after spending
the past two and a half years in
Germany. They will visit his pa
rents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hus
key, in Gaffney, and the Parrish
family for 30 days before leaving
for Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
Little “Tiger” Smith of Green-
wood. spent Sunday with her
great-grandfather, Coker Black-
well Mr and Mrs. Ted Smith,
her parents, came for her Sunday
evening.

SCOUTS RETURN FROM CAMP
Lydia’s Troop 90, Boy Scouts,
returned to their homes Saturday
after a week’s camping trip at
Camp Old Indian. Among those
attending the camp were Johnny
Lanford, Terry Crawford, Fran
cis Cooper, Jimmie Cooper,
Butch Grady, Paul Arnold, Jr.,
and Mike Campbell, along with
their scoutmaster, Ellis Huff-
stetler.

Plans are being made for the
church’s homecoming to be held
at the church September 10.
Class Outing
Mrs. H. N. Hughey, with Mr.
Hughey, entertained her Sunday
school class of junior girls with a
trip to Greenwood State Park on
Saturday afternoon. The girls
went swimming before enjoying
the charcoal hamburgers with
cold drinks.
Observe Focus Week
The Sunbeams will observe Fo
cus week next week. Beginning
with Sunday when they will be
recognized at church, Monday
will be visitation emphasis, a
Christmas in August party will
be given the Sunbeams by the
WMS on Tuesday evening. The
regular program will be Wednes
day afternoon. On Thursday a
party for the Sunbeams and their
mothers will be held. This will be
in celebration of the 75th anniver
sary of Sunbeams
