Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wat kins visited Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Tempelton Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Templeton visited Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Moore Wednesday. They also visited Mrs. J. E. Hembree. ' Miss Lutell Reynolds of Wood ruff, was a week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. Everett Stribling. Judy Bishop of Mauldin, spent the week-end with her grandpa- rents, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. O’Shields. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kelly and daughter, Sherry, spent Sunday In Spartanburg with Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Sherbert. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Willard and children of Union, visited the lat ter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grov er Starnes, Sunday. Hugh Watson of Clemson, visit ed his mother, Mrs. Nora Wat-| son, over the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nedehoffer of Woodruff, Visited Mrs. Mamie Kelly Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Moore and Carl Kelly spent Thursday in Gowansville with Mr. and Mrs. Homer Kilpatrick. They also vis ited Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Moore in Rock Hill. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Stribling of Brevard, N. C., spent the week end with the former’s mother, Mrs. J. B. StribUng. Mr. and Mrs. John Mac Gideon of Germany, ate visiting his pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. .John Gideon. Jane Phillips of Woodruff, spent the weke-end with Joan Vassey. Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Smith of Pauline, were visitors here Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. Odell Lawson of West Springs, spent Sunday af ternoon with Mr. and Mrs. John B. Gideon. Mrs. Lillie Owensby of Whit mire, spent the week-end with Mrs. Eva Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lawson of Union, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Calvert Lanford. Mrs. Buford Brown and son, Benny, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Patterson, while Mr. Brown at tended the National Guard. P. C. Turner was a business visitor in Sumter Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Crook and daughter, Sherrill, were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Howard Saturday. Mrs. H. P. Bennett and Mrs. Minnie Dobbins were visitors--in Woodruff Monday. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Templeton were Mrs. Paul Simmons and daughter, Linda, of Spartanburg, Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Simmons. CLUB INSTALLS OFFICERS New officers of the Cross An chor Garden Club were at a meeting Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Minnie Dob bins. They are: President—Mrs. Tony Gossett. Vice-President — Mrs. E. E Stribling. Secretary — Mrs. Charles Kel ley. Business was conducted by Mrs. Minnie Dobbins. Mrs. C. M. Workman was a guest of the chib. Sandwiches, chips, cake and cold drinks were served. V. W. A. MEETS Ti** V. W. A. of New Hope Bap tist Church met Monday evening at the home of Miss Gaylia Su therland. Jewell Sutherland was in charge of the program which was on Nigeria. WITH THE SICK Oren Cogdill is a patient at the Veterans hospital in Columbia. Lisa Franklin is confined to her home with mumps.
