The Boy Scouts left Sunday mor ning to spend this week at Camp Oid Indian. Julian Hunnicutt and Alvin Marshall, scout leaders, ac companied them. Seven members of the Brownie Troop are attending day camp at the Holloway place each day this week from 10:00 a. m. to 2:30 p. m. 'he counselors from Joanna are Misses Jenny Addison and Lunette Frazier. The Intermediate and Senior Girl Scouts will spend three days and nights next week at Camp Landis near Greenwood. Mrs. Violat Strand, Misses Jenny Addison and Lunette Frazier will serve as coun selors. MAKING HOME IN TEXAS Friends will be interested to know that Mir. and Mrs. Oran .Nabors left recently to make their home in Dal- , Texas. Mr. Nabors taught in the schools of Laurens during tbs past school year and will begin study In the fall for his nmstart degree Mrs. Nabors, the former Charlotte DeVimej. was graduated in June from Furman University, v WITH IHE SICK Mrs. Ons Bridges has returned to her home in Newberry after under going treatment ait Joanna hospital. John Ross is a medical patient at the local; hospital. J. C. Farmer of Kinarda, is re- cieving treatment at Joanna hos pital. Bill Thomas is convalescing fol lowing surgery at Hays hospital. Kathy Murphy has been dis charged from Joanna hospital fol lowing treatment. W. O. Stewart is a patient at the local hospital. Ronnie Johnson of Clinton, is convalescing at Joanna hospital from an appendix Operation. Mrs. Hattie Motes is a surgical patient at the local hospital. MR AND MRS. THOMAS ARE HONORED Mr and Mrs. E.
