Funeral services were held Mon
day morning in Jefferson, Ga., for
Mrs. G. E. Smith, mother of D. B.
Smith of this city.
Mrs. Smith, 89, died Saturday at
the Elbert County Hospital after an
illness of ten days. She was a na
tive of Jefferson and a member of
the First Methodist Church there,
but had made her home in Elberton
since 1941.
Survivors also include a daugh
ter, Miss Mary Erwin Smith, of El
berton. and Frank S. Smith, of Co
lumbia.
