Charles Harvey of Fort Jackson, Columbia, spent the week end with Mrs. Harvey and children. Mr and Mrs. Wilbur Weir and Johnny, of Greenville, visited Mr. and Mrs. David Word Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Trammell vis ited their daughter, Mrs. William Stone, and Mr.. Stone in Anderson Sunday. They later visited Mr. Trammell’s father, R. T. Tram mell, in the General hospital in Greenville, hteir son, Ken, at Fur man University, Mr. and Mrs. James Seay,, .Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wells, Jr., vis ited the latter’s brother, G. C. Par rish, Jr., and MrfcsParrish in Aiken Sunday. * Mr. and Mrs. Gary Brissie and chlidren of Winnsboro, were Sunday evening, guests of Mrs. Brissie’s grandmother, Mrs. J. H. Soay. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Riddle at tended the funeral of Mrs. William Ivey in Greenwood recently. S-Sgt. Harold Snider of Tyndall AFB, Panama City, Fla., spent a recent week-end with his mother, Mrs. Roy Snider. HERE FROM GREENVILLE W. E. Riddle and daughter, Mrs. Arthur Jones, Sr„ of Green ville, were recent guests of their brother and uncle, Ralph Riddle, and Mrs. I^ddle. Mr .and Mrs. J. B. Neal and Jim my visited Mr. and Mrs. Carson Neal in Greenville Sunday. Both families motored to Caaeu’s Head to enjoy the sights of the snow-cov ered mountains. Mrs. Lillie Belle Miller was the Sunday guest of Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Wallemtine in Clinton. The Sunbeams will meet Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the church. Mothers are asked to please note the change and send the children on Monday afternoon. MRS. McGEE HONORED Seventeen ladies were present on Monday evening of last week at a pink and blue shower for Mrs. Billy McGee at the Lydia Community Building. % ' A number of interesting games were enjoyed by the group. Sandwiches, cookies, chips and party mints with cold 'drinks were served by the hostesses, Mrs. i Charles Harvey, Mrs. Alma Har- jvey, Mrs. Clayton Rejese and Mrs. Susie Banks. Mrs. McGee was remembered with many lovely ffifts. WITH THE SICK Mrs. Nell Mills is ill at her home. ^ Mrs. David Roberts is improv ing after several days illness. Mrs. J. Bj Vanderford* was ill over the week-end. Hkmald Snider was ill the past week. Mrs Claude McElhannon is ill at her home on South Broad street. J. T. Hamilton is ill with flu. Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Sinclair and Franklin have been ill with flu. Mrs. Will Ellis *is,ill at her home. Mrs. Lester Davis 1 'has returned tp work after an illness of several days. Mrs George Howell is con vales cing at her home, after an illness Mrs. Furman Bratcher is conva lescing at her home following sur gery at Blalock -Clinic last week. Mrs. Joe Corley is recuperating following minor surgery at Self Memorial hospital in Greenwood on last Thursday. WOMAN’S CLUB BOX SUPPER The Lydia Woman's Club* will meet at 7:00 p. m. Thursday (to night) at the Community Building for the regular session. This is February party time and the'husbands of members are in vited. A box supper will be enjoyed and each member is to bring her dish in a decorated box. A prize will be given for the prettiest box. All members are asked to attend. Dianne Steptienson Named Homemaker Of Tomorrow Dianne Stephenson has been nam ed the 1960 Betty Crocker Hoime-, maker of Torhorrow at Clinton ‘High School. She received the highest score in a 50-minute written/examinatiori on homemaking a*nd attitudes taken by graduating seniors in her school.
