A pink and white color scheme was beautifully carried out in the party appointments with an ar- rangerrsent of gladioli, chrysanthe mums and carnations used. A low- centerpiece for the dining table w as fashioned of carnations and chry santhemums. The bride-elect w,as remembered with a corsage and the couple was presented a gift of china. Party Compliments Miss Montgomery * Among compliments paid Miss Clara Montgomery since the recent announcement of hbr engagement was the party given on November 9 at the Stewart Cottage on the Thornwell campus. Hostesses were Mrs. Carrie Atkinson, Mrs. Alice Guy, Mrs. Cassie Talbot and girls in the Mayes and Stewart cottages. Guests included the bride-elect’s mother and Miss Montgomery’s in timate friends. Refreshments were served and the bride was presented with gifts of crystal in her wedding pattern. Thanksgiving Theme , For Club Meeting Members of the ‘Odds and Ends" *Club met on Wednesday of the past week with Mrs. R. L. Plaxico and Miss Nannie Young Tribble at the home of the latter.
