Austin of Nor folk, Va., is spending a 15-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Les lie Austin. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Burnet and Freddie spent Sunday with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. David E. Rob erts. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Boswell, Dan and Ann, of Shannon, Ga., spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. F. L. TTiomburg. Miss Linda Boswell ac companied them home after several weeks visit with her grandparents. Mrs. Lillie Belle Miller, with Mr. and Mrs. Claude Wallenzine of Clin ton, visited Mr. and Mrs. Richard Walenzine in North Augusta Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Skinner of Greenville, were recent guests of the latter’s sister, Mrs. J. T. Whit more, and Mr. Whitmore. Miss Lucille Spelce visited at Whitewater Falls and Mt. Mitch ell, N. C., during the past week. VISIT IN INMAN Mrs. L. W. Abercrombie and Eddie spent last week with her sister, Mrs. Nash, in Inman. Mrs. Nash came home with Mrs. Aber crombie for a week’s stay. Rand and Roger Brinke of Wa terloo, spent the week-end with their brothers, Tommy and Billy, at the home of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walker. Mr .ad Mrs. Silas Romines were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Bradley in Marion, N. C. Miss Carol Parrish of Aiken, is spending the month of August with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Parrish, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Wil liams, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Mrs. Lawson is the former Miss Linda Heidrix, dauhter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hendrix. MRS. ROMINES ENTERTAINED On Saturday evening in Marion, N. C., Mrs. Steve Bradley honored Mrs. Silas Romines, the former Miss Clara Louise Birchmore, with a household shower at her home. The ladies present enjoyed bingo and other games. Rerfershments were served, after which Mrs. Romines was presented many lovely and useful gifts. Mrs. Audrey Estes of Lydia, sis ter-in-law of Mrs. Romines, was one of the guests for the party. Mrs. Romines was entertained at the Lydia Community Building, with Mrs. Bill Nelson, Mrs. Connie Davis and Mrs. Estes as hostesses, last week. WITH THE SICK Major Crawford has returned to work after an illness due to injuries received in an automobile accident. Mrs. Clayton Reece is able to be out after several days illness in Hays hospital. Mrs. Ira Bailey has been ill sev eral days.
