is rich because of the fact that
good land has been washed from
the hillsides to the bottom.

J. L. Griffin of Greenville, this
week completed the construction of
a stock watering pond on his farm
two miles west of Barksdale. This
is the second pond for Mr. Griffin
to build on his 450 acre cattle and
tree farm located at the foot of the
Big Knob on which the dispatching
fire tower for hte county'is located.
