Col. and Mrs. Lykes Hender son and children hare returned to the states after a stay of almost three years in Spain. They have been visiting Col. Hen derson’s mother, Mrs L. S. Hen derson, and other relatives here and will leave today to visit relabves in Georgia. He has been assigned to Coium- bus. Miss., and will report there about the middle of July. :• I Cannon Returned To Broad St. Church The Rev. J. E. Cannon was re turned for another year as pastor of Broad Street Methodist Church, ac cording to appointments announced at the closing session of the South Carolina Methodist Conference in Columbia Sunday. Rev. Nathan Fleming, pastor of Epworth Methodist Church at Jo anna, and Rev. C. F. Hamm, of the Kinards Circuit, were return ed to their posts. Announced as coming to Bailey Memorial was Rev. W. A. Wesley. Rev. James H. Williams will con tinue to serve the Lydia and Sandy Springs churches. Rev. R. Bryce Herbert is superin tendent of the Greenwood District, in which churches in this area are located. Among former Clinton Methodist pastors, Rev. E. K. Garrison was returned to Batesburg, and Rev. P. L. Bauknight serves Asbury Mem orial, both in the Columbia Dis trict; Rev. W. R. Bouknight is at St. George in the Charleston Dis trict; Rev. J. E. Merchant is at Inman, and Rev. A. J.
