METHODIST BIBLE SCHOOL
BEGINS
Vacation Bible school will be held
at the Methodist church next week,
Monday, June 8, through Friday,
the 12th, from 9:00 a. m. to 11:00
a. m. each morning, with all chil
dren invited.
Rev. Williams, pastor, will be in

SIXTH GRADE ENTERTAINED
The Lydia Woman's Club enter
tained members of the sixth grade
of Providence School on Friday eve
ning with a formal party at the
Lydia community biulding as a
farewell from grammar school to
junior high.
The principal, Mr. Bozard, and
the tbachers were also invited.
Mrs. David Word, Mrs. J. T. Lan-
ford and Miss Nellie Osborne were
in charge of the entertainment.
The young people enjoyed sev
eral games and dancing.
Mrs. R. E. Whitmire and Mrs.
E. C. Burdette invited the guests
into the dining room where punch
and cookies were served from the
buffet table.
