Johnny Stroud.
Gordon Boyce atended the funeral
of his uncle, Jim Boyce, in Sumter
last Friday.
Mrs. W. W. Hair spent the week
end in Columbia with Mr. and Mrs.
Claude Galarneau. She went es
pecially to visit her daughter. Mrs.
Fred Wheeler, who is a patient at
Columbia hospital. Also visiting
Mrs. Wheeler on Sunday were Mr.
and Mrs. Lester Hair, Miss Ruth
Tair, Mrs. Hoyt Nobles and Wendell
Hair.
Gerald Farmer, HN, of Camp Le-
Jeune, N. C., spent the week-end
with Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Farmer.
On Sunday they visited Pvt. Ray
Farmer at Fort Jackson.

METHODIST BIBLE SCHOOL
Vacation Bible school will be held
at Epworth Methodist Church from
June 1 through June 12. Each ses
sion will begin at 4:00.p m. and end
at 8:30 p. m. Classes will be for the
nursery through the junior depart
ment. Refreshments will be serv
ed each day and all children are in
vited to attend.
BEDENBAUGH INFANT
Cynthia Dell Bedenbaugh. infant
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George
Euton Bedenbaugh, of Joanna, died
Saturday morning at a Newberry
hospital.
Mrs. Bedenbaugh is the former
Miss Lois Golf of Saluda county.
Mr. Bedenbaugh is employed at Jo
anna Mills. They are members of
Salem Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to the par
ents are a brother, Ricky, of the
home; the maternal grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Goff of Saluda
county; the paternal grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Birdge Bedenbaugh of
Prosperity; and her step-great
grandmother, Mrs. Leila Chapman
of Newberry.
Graveside services were conduct
ed Sunday afternoon in Salem Bap
tist Church cemeetry by the Rev.
W. L. Brown and the Rev. James
Bruce.

treatment at Joanna hospital several
days last week.
W. T. Kanning has returned home
after being a patient at the local
hospital.
James Edwards of Kinards, un
derwent minor surgery at Joanna
hospital recently.
Mrs. Minnie Frasier is a medical
patient at the local hospital.
Mrs Agnes Whelchel is a patient
at Joana hospital for treatment.
Master Jimmy ,Kirby of Green
ville, was a medical patient at Jo
anna hospital several days last
week.

Mrs. Fred Bragg of Clinton, led
the 22 guests in an hour of appro
priate games. Spring flowers were
used throughout the party rooms,
and a green and white color scheme
was used.

cutt, Mrs. Dan Gunter, Mrs. Bobby
Simmons, Mrs. Brian Abrams and
