Mr. and Mrs. George Howell,
Lewis Howell, and Mrs. Wally
Whitt and children visited Mrs.
Howell’s brother, Lewis Bobo, of
Whitmire, at the Veterans Hospital
in Columbia Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lanford and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James Han
na and Charles Gilliam of Whitmire,
were Sunday supper guests of Mrs.
Alma Harvey. Sgt. Charles Harvey
of Fort Jackson, spent the week
end with his mother. Mrs. Harvey
and children. On Sunday evening
they all attended the baptismal ser
vices at the Lydia Baptist Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ervin of Ya
kima, Wash., spent Wednesday of
last week with their nephew and
fmily, Mr. nd Mrs. Tommy Moore.
TO RETURN FRIDAY
Rev. Bill Moreau is expected
home on Friday following a two
weeks visit wRh Us grandfather,
George H. Moreau, la Fayette
ville, W. Va., and friends in Phila
delphia, Pa., and in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Bud Kirby and chil
dren, Becky and Eddie, of Arcadia,
Fla., visited his sister, Mrs. Izzie
Miller, and Mr. Miller on Wednes
day of last week.
Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Burdette spent
Sunday with their daughter and
son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson
Campbell, in Charlotte, N. C.
Mr. and Mrs. Orin Davis and
family of Greenville, spent the
week-end here with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Goss and
family visited Mr. and Mrs. J. T.
Williams in Greenwood Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Harvey and
Dianne, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McLen
don visited in Spartanburg Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey visited his sis-
ter, Mrs. A. M. Shumate, Jr., in the
General Hospital.
Mrs. Zinia Woody of Laurens, was
the week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Templeton.
Rev .and Mrs. W. J. Lesley visit
ed his father. W. P. Lesliey, last
week in the General Hoopital,
Greenville, where ho is a patient.
Russell Trammell, AN, of the Na
val Air Station, Jacksonville, Fla.,
is spending a 10-day leave with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Tram
mell.

Greenwood, were Sunday supper
guests of her father, S. J. Todd,
and sister, Mrs. Homer Fuller,
and Mr. Fuller.
Mrs. Grover Wilard of Green
wood, visited Mr. and Mrs. Claude
Willard during the week-end.
Billy Davis, SN, of Annapobs,
Md., is spending a 15-day leave with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester
Davis. Following his leave he will
go to Norfolk, Va.
Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Bailey and
Mrs. J. C. Estes visited Mrs. Bai
ley’s father, W. E. McGinnis, in
Petzer Sunday.

Mrs. J. H. Seay attended a birth
day dinner honoring the latter at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Royce Smith
near Laurens Sunday. All eight of
Mrs. Seay’s children were present,
with many of the in-laws, grand
children and great-grandchildren.

Miss Linda Gail Shelnut celebrat
ed her 12th birthday with a party
at the home of Mrs. Annie Lawson
on Saturday afternoon.
Twenty-one guests were present
to enjoy the occasion with Linda
Gail.
After a number of games refresh
ments were served, including cold
drinks, with chips, sandwiches and
the birthday cake.
Many gifts were presented to Lin
da Gail.
PINK AND BLUE SHOWER
Mrs. Vickie Campbell was honor
ed with a pink and blue shower at
the home of Mrs. Bill Fennell Fri
day evening.
After several games were played,
refreshments were served by the
hostesses, Mrs. Carol Templeton,
Mrs. Orin Davis and Mrs. FenneU.
Mrs. Campbell received many
