Otrrctar (Fairview is a participating agen cy in Clinton's Community Cheat ) Lookng back over the twelve months of IMS. we can see the con tinued interest and help received from our friends who share with us the task of giving alcoholics a chance. During 1958 a total of 303 resident alcoholic patients received treat ment at Fairview. Eight of these had to be removed to hospitals for treatment of various diseases. Ev ery patient coming to Fairview now receives a medical examination, including X-ray and blood tests. Conferences with out-patients, rel atives of patients, and others inter ested in alcoholism, during the year numbered 1200. A freezer locker was donated by the friends of Fairview. A storage room was built, and our heating plant overhauled. We began 1959 with our books in the black. Sixteen United Funds have shown endorsement of Fairview by placing us in their budget for 1959., Other communities are organizing Fair- view Committees to help face alco holism and raise funds.
