A crash with a C&WC freight train at a

Friday left a trailer truck a heap of wreck
age. .But the driver. James Hoyt Williams
of Rt. 3. Fort Valley. Ga.. and a passenger.
Gladys Virginia Jackson. 26. of Charlotte.
N. C., both escaped serious harm. The driver
told officers the truck’s brakes failed, and
the truck, Hoaded with dressed chickens,
smashed into the train. . \
College Group Seeks
Funds For Refugees

these refugees have returned to

urgently needed to help provide

these impoverished people
First among the fund raising func
tiers was a "Chinese Auction" held
last Wednesday. The goods auction

townspeople, and the profit was

contributions.
