Wallace The Shady Grove Community Club held its regular monthly meet ing Saturday night at 7 o’clock at the club house. The devotional period was presided over by the president. James Johnson, who in troduced the speaker Rev. Wiggins of Laurens. After the devotional a delicious barbeque chicken supper was served by Air and Mrs. Car- roll Johnson. Mr and Mrs. Earl Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. James Billy, Kenneth and Jimmy Johnson. The regular yearly business meet ing of the club was presided over by the president, James Johnson. Mrs Freeman Evans acting as sec retary. During the business session by-laws of the club were read and discussed with any necessary changes being made by vote. New officers elected were: President, J O. Hiieble; vice-president, Joe McQuirt. secretary, Mrs. Freeman Eians, assistant secretary, Mrs. N. A. Sprouse; treasurer, Eari John- Min Six members were elected as the governing board which will be headed by retiring president James Johnson Members elected to serve with retiring president were Mrs. J. C. Vabors, Mrs. David Pitts. Mrs. j James Johnson. J. C Nabors, Free- j man Evans and N. A. Mrs. David Pitts and Mrs. J. 0. Hueble served. Tuesday afternoon March 3rd the Home Demonstration Club of Shady Grove will meet at the Community house. Mrs. Ben Summers and Mrs. J. P Johnson will act as hostesses. The program will be given by Mrs. David Pitts. A demonstration on “Selection of Basic Piece of Furni ture'’ will be given .Mr. and Mrs. Dick Hueble and son were gwests of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Hueble Saturday evening at the Conummity club. 9/ Make*. Dedicate Organ In Memory Of Mrs. M. J. McFadden There will be a dedicatory serv ice Sunday morning at the 11 o'clock worship hour at the First Presbyterian Church in Joanna The organ was recently given to the church in memory of Mrs M J.
