spent last week-end in Atlanta. Ga.,
with Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Morris.
Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Niver were
accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. J.
M. Niver of Greensboro, N. C., Mr.
and Mrs. C. H. Niver of Mobile,
Ala., to New Orleans, La., to at
tend the Sugar Bowl game. They
returned home on Saturday.
Mx. and Mrs. Luther Poag were
Saturday supper guests of Mr. and
Mrs. BUI Poag in Greer.

hospital last week.
Keith Boland, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Boland, was dismissed on
Monday after receiving treatment
at the local hospital during the past
week.
Mrs. Darlene Ringer of Kinards,
is a surgical patient at the local
hospital.
Richard Gaffney was admitted to
the local hospital Friday for treat
ment.
Mrs. Leona Evans of Kinards, is
receiving treatment^at the Joanna
hospital.
Mrs. Bertha Stroud underwent
surgery Wednesday at the local hos
pital.

on Sunday, December 29, at 5
o'clock at the home of Rev Ben F.
Jones.
The young couple is presently
making their home with the
groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.
T. Simmons, on Marion street. The
bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. William J. Dunlap, also of
Joanna.
Those attending the wedding were
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bngg, Jr., Sue
and Patricia Bragg, and Miss Judy
Simmons.

bride, was maid of honor and
wore a floor length holiday
dress with a red headpiece and car
ried white poinsettias Mrs. Violet
Thomas Gwinn, Miss Garnell Ruff
and Mlrs. Jeanette Evans Wicker,
cousins of the bride, and Miss Shel
by Jean Marshall were bridesmaids.
Their dresses were of holiday green
with green headpieces and they car
ried red poinsettias. Little Denise
Turner was flower girl and she wore
pale mint green. David Sanders was
ring bearer.
The groom’s father was best man
with David Boland. Darrell John
son. and Martin Gwinn as ushers.
