Ellen is the daugh ter of Dr. and Mrs. Newton B; Jones. A number of friends were invited for the party which carried out a circus motif. Vance eni tertained employes of the M. S. Bai-v ley and Sor^, Bankers, their wives and husbands with the annual Christmas party. Supper was served in buffet style to 35 guests. Overlaid with a red cloth and appointed with red tapers in silver holders, the table held a centerpiece of greens, fruRs and Christmas balls in a silver contain er. Santa scene adorned the long table on the sun porch where cov ers were laid The receiving rooms were decorated throughout in a beautiful holiday motif. During the evening Christmas bingo was played and gifts were ex changed. on Luncheon Given For Club, Guests A lovely luncheon was given Wednesday of the past week by Mrs. Leonard M. Wilson at her borne on Chestnut Street Extension. Christmas Party For Episcopal Children Friday evening a. monthly Sun day School and Christmas party was held for the children of All Saints Episcopal Church. The Parish house where the. party was held was decorated for the oc casion with a lighted tree, green cry and candle.*; in Yhletide motif. Childrens committee in charge of arrangements included Jimmy Sul livan, chairman; Elizabeth Glover, Margaret and Mary Bart Stump. They were assisted by Mrs. E. N Sullivan and Mrs. Michael Turner. Punch and holiday cookies were served. Carols were sung and the Rev. Giles Lewis in traditional San ta attire distributed gifts from the tree. Holiday Drop-In Given Saturday Enjoyable among social occasions of the holiday season was the drop- in at which Dr. and Mrs. Newton B. Jones, Dr. and Mrs. John W Stevenson entertained on Saturday evening at the Jones home on Elm Street. Mr. and Mrs. Edward G. Camp bell greeted the guests, and the hosts and hostesses received in the living room. The home was beauti fully decorated with native greens including balsam, boxwood and Bur fordi holly, Gold and green were effective in the hall and living room burning in branched Eastern Star To Observe Its 50th Anniversary James B Parrott, Chapter No. 9 O E.
