Monday.
Mrs. Ted Smith of Greenwood,
was the week-end uest of her cou
sin, Miss Harriet Wilson.
Mr. and Mrs. Pete Kelly and chil
dren of Gaffney, were guests of his
mother, Mrs. Ike Jones, and Mr.
Jones during the week-end.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walker and
children enjoyed a picnic dinner at
Lake Greenwood Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Luther Medlock of
Joanna, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Med
lock and family of Aiken, were Sun
day visitors of Mrs. Alma Harvey.
Mr. and Mrs. Bud Puller and
sons and Rusdl Trammell, AA, vis
ited Mrs. Betty Caoble in Anderson
Sunday. Mr. Trammell and Ray
Fuller went on to Beaufort to visit
the latter’s brother, HA and Mrs.
Bobby Fuller.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Gaskins and
family visited the former’s mother,
Mrs. J. F. Gaskins, in Rock Hill
on Sunday.

Mr. and (Mrs. Fred Lollis of
Honea Path, visited his sister, Mrs.
R. E. Whitmire, and Mr Whitmire
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Norwood and
daughter, Sheila, of Tampa, Fla.,
returned to their home Tuesday af
ter several days visit with her mo
ther, Mrs. C.. M. Broome, Mr.
Broome and her sister, Miss Inez
McDonald. Sunday guests of the
Broomes were Mr. and Mrs. How
ard McCauley and Pan, Mr. and
Mrs. Carson Neal and Dianne, of
Greenville; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Mc
Donald of Fountain Inn.
Mrs. C. E. Spradley and Mrs. I.
S. Parker have returned to their
homes after a two weeks stay at
Myrtle Beach with the former’s
grandson, Mickey Henry.
Mrs. P. L. Thornburg visited her
son, Lee Thornburg, at the Veterans
hospital in Columbia Sunday
A2C Lester Eustace of Washing
ton, D. C., was here for the week
end with Mrs. Eustace and children
at the home of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs W. L. Boozer. Mrs. Eustace
and children returned home with
him after a five weeks stay with
the Boosars.

home after several days illness at

son hospital.

Singing at Pentecostal Church
The regular monthly singing con
vention will be held Sunday after
noon at 2:30 at the Lydia Pente
costal Holiness Church.

here. Rev. Roscoe Bryan, pastor,
extends a cordial invitation to ev
eryone.
Master Dunaway Honored
Friday morning the Kindergarten
children were given a birthday
party honoring Danny Ray Dun
away who was 6 years old Satur
day.
Games and singing were enjoyed
before refreshments were served.
“Happy Birthday” was sung and
the lovely birthday cake of white
with blue decorations and candles
was cut and served with cookies and
cold drinks.
Many gifts were presented to
Danny Ray.
Mrs. Dunaway, the honoree's mo
ther, was assisted in entertaining
by Mrs. Nellie Dean and Miss Nellie
Osborne, the Kindergarten teach
er.

day evening, November 8, at 7
o'clock at the home of the offi
ciating minister, Rev. J. B. Cole,
pastor of the Elizabeth St. Church
of God in Clinton.

and Mrs. J. T. Whitmore and the
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
