Mc Crary, 411 Florida street, and the late Mr. McCrary. The wedding is planned for Sept. 20. MARRIED ON SATURDAY Bridge Club Honors Mr§. T. C. Johnson^ Jr. Honoring Mrs. T. C. Johnson, Jr, who will leave soon to make her home in Chester, members of her Thursday bridge club were enter tained at luncheon at the Wallace House in Newberry last week. Following luncheon several pro gressions of bridge were enjoyed, with Mrs. Johnson making top score. Later the honoree was pre sented a shower of towels. Honor Mrs. McCarty With Parties Mrs. Edward G. Campbell enter tained members of the office staff at Presbyterian College with a coke party on Friday afternoon honoring Mrs. T. J. MtCarty who leaves soon to make her home in Aiken. The group gathered on the porch where asters with other summer flowers added attractiveness. Cold drinks, sandwiches and other dain ties were served. The hostess re membered the honoree with a gift. Thursday afternoon Mrs. McCarty was guest of honor when Mrs. W. Entertain Friends With Dinner Party Mr. and Mrs T. Heath Copeland entertained about forty friends on Thursday evening with a dinner party at Lakeside Country Club Mrs. Copeland's sister, Mrs. B H. Heath of Chester, who was visit ing here, was a guest for the ocra sion. Dinner was served in buffet style from the dining room table prettily appointed with an arrangement of chrysanthemums and greenery Gladioli decorated the porch where long tables were laid for the guests. Assisting the hostess were Mrs. William Brooks Owens, Mrs Cecil Wilson, Mrs. George Huguley and Mrs. C. W. Copeland. Mrs. Workman Fetes I August Bride-Elect Among social courtesies extended Miss Joanna Bonds prior to her f marriage Saturday was the after noon seated tea given recently by Mrs Nene D Workman. Lovley Eclipse roses, grown in the hostess’ garden, were used to fashion a corsage for the honoree.
