The lucky young lady who wins the contest here, according to Co- Op Manager Henry M. Faris, will win a cash prize plus the all-ex pense paid trip to Columbia In Co lumbia she will appear on radio and television and compete with other local wgpners for the title of I Miss South Carolina Electric Co-Op. The statewide winner will receive a big prize, plus a trip to Washing ton, D. C., to compete for the na tional title of Miss Rural Electrifi cation at the annual meeting of the National Rural Electric Coopera tive Association. The national win ner receives a handsome trophy and a scholarship. Present holder, of the national title is Miss Brenda Rae Eddings of Loris, who repre sented the Horry Electric CoOp in the state contest.
