Campbell, daughter and son of Mr
and Mrs. W. D. Campbell of Co
lumbus, Ohio, are spending two
weeks here with their grandfather,
R. B. Vance, and aunt, Mrs. H. M.
Wise.
Saturday afternoon Mr. and Mrs.
Robert M. Vance entertained
twelve of their young friends at the
cottage of Mr, and Mrs. Carlisle
Neely on Lak£ Greenwood. Water
skiing was enjoyed and later a pic
nic supper was served.

Honors Visitor
Honoring Mrs. Billy Owens, of
Knoxville, Tenn.. who was visiting
here, Mrs. Thomas F. Hollis enter
tained with a bridge party on Fri
day afternoon.
Dahlias, marigolds, zinnias and
princess feathers in varied array
made a pretty setting in the card
rooms. Between progressions the
hostess served sandwiches, cookies,
and other dainties with tea.
Mrs. Owens was high scorer and
Mrs. E. M. Timmerman won conso
lation. The honoree and Mrs. Lollis
Ml. Hardy, of Camden, another out-
of-town visitor, were remembered
with guest prizes.

Honoring Mrs. T. C. Johnson, Jr.,
who will move soon to Chester to
make her home, Mrs. Cecil Wilson
entertained members of their
bridge club and several additional
guests for a one o’clock luncheon
on Thursday at her home on Ansel
Drive.
Hie dining table, overlaid with a
pink linen cover and centered with
a silver container filled with rosea,
gladioli and other summer flowers
shading from deep to pale pink and
white, was appointed for the buffet
meal. Covers were laid at three
small atMea adorned with tiny bou
quets of yellow and pink rosebuds
During the afternoon a number of
procreations were enjoyed with visi
tors’ prize going to Mrs C. W
Copeland, and club award to Mrs
M. D. Milam, Jr. Mrs Wilson re

veil of bridal illusion attached to a
circlet of orange blossoms and car
ried a cascade bouquet of phalae-
nopsis orchids
The attendants wore princess line
dresses of crayon green taffeta,
green velvet head dress and cascade
bouquets of summer flowers.
Following the ceremony a recep
tion was given at the home of the

an apartment in the home of Mr

From European Trip
Miss Lillian Hart, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Hart of Joanna,
returned Tuesday from a two
months stay abroad.
While away she was the guest of
Miss Kay Fuller, daughter of Col.
and Mrs. T. A. Fuller, in Ramstein,
Germany. Tours included Italy,
France, Austria, Bavaria, Holland,
the World’s Fair at Brussells, and
England.
Miss Hart was accompanied by
several friends from Virginia and
returned aboard the Queen Mary.
