La., where she was the guest of Miss Patricia Buress for a visit. Miss Cornelia Harris, of Colum bia, visited her mother. Mrs. W. W. Harris here during the week-end. Mrs. Mary Beall, of Washington, recently spent a few days here with Miss Thelma Wells and sisters. She was accompanied by her grandson, Jimmy Beall, of Hyattsville, Md. Misses Thelma, Maude and Sue Wells and Mrs. Eva Hambrick ac companied her home for a week’s stay, returning here during the week-end. W. W. Tribble has returned to his home in St. Petersburg, Fla., after spending last week with Mrs. E. L. Chandler and Mrs. J. C. Copeland. Miss Peggy Mclnvaille spent the week-end in Charleston, going espe cially to attend the wedding of Miss Catherine Robinson and Roy Spitz, in which she served as a bridesmaid on Saturday evening. Miss Mcln- vaille and Miss Robinson were suite mates at Winthrop College. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wilson and sons have moved into the former Salter home located on Chestnut Street Extension, which they have recently purchased. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Holland were week-end guests of the latter’s sis ter, Mrs. Eugene Brown and Mr. Brown in Charleston. Little Genie Brown who spent several weeks here, returned with them to her home. Ml# and Mrs. G. W. Hollings worth spent a few days last week at Lake Junaluska, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. John W. Stevenson and son, John Allen, formerly of Jackson, Miss., were quests on Sat urday of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Arn old and visited other friends. They are spending several weeks in. Glenn Springs and Pittsburgh, Pa., with relatives and will make their home here in the Reese Young apartments on Cleveland St. early in Septem ber. Dr. Stevenson is professor of English at Presbyterian College. M/. and Mrs. D. B. Smith and son, Phil, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Reeves in Beaufort and spent several days in Charleston last week. Mr. Smith attended the South Carolina Methodist Confer ence as a lay delegate. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Krell visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Eichelberger on Thursday enroute to their home in Columbia after a honeymoon trip to Sea Island, Ga. Gamble, Sr.,, of Tur- beville, has been visiting her daugh ter, Mrs. J. P. Roquemore, and the Rev. Roquemore. The Roquemores and their children will accompany her home for a weeks visit. Mrs. S. A. Lindsay, Miss Kate Milam, Mrs. Clark Johnson and Mrs. J. M. Hatton, Sr., spent a few days last week at Lake Junaluska, N. C. Friends of Wallace Franks will be interested to know he is a patient at the Veterans hospital in Colum bia for several days. He was ac companied by his mother, Mrs. J Platte Prather, who will be the guest of Mrs. Eleanor Evans while he is a patient there. Mr. and Mrs. A F.
