visit with Mr. and Mrs. Richard

home they visited Mr. and Mirs.
Carl Johnson in Rock Hill. Coming
home with them for a visit were
Mary Jane Johnson, daughter of
the Richard Johnsons, and Gail
Johnson, daughter of the Carl John
sons.
Mrs. Emma Neal, of Greenwood,
is spending a few days with her
sister, Mrs. J. H. Seay.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ballard, Miss
es Peggy and Pat Ballard, of Clin
ton, and A-lc and Mrs. Maxie Lam
bert and Randy, of El Paso, Texas,
spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J.
B. O’Shields. Mr. and Mrs. Lambert
and son left Monday to return to El
t Paso.

children, of Fork Shoals, spent Sun
day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Bodie.

Artie Joe Sanders returned home
on Tuesday evening of last week
after several weeks visit with rela
lives in Palatka, Fla. His grandfath
er, N. J. Sanders, of Palatka, ac
companied him home and will re
main with Rev. and Mrs. M. J.
Sanders the remainder of this week

they were met by Rev. and Mrs.
Sanders.

funeral services of Mrs King's

week with his aunt and uncle, Mr.

end guests of Mr. and Mrs. John

Miss Carolyn Pace, of Ware
Shoals, has been visiting her cousin,

Pelzer Sunday and Mr. and Mrs.
George Parker in Belton.

end with the former’s parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Claude Parrish.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. O’Shields and
Mrs. Hugh Ballard visited J. B.
Wasson in Fountain Inn on Satur
day. Mr. Wasson is ill at his home

Mrs. Stone Honored With Party
On Friday evening, Mrs William
Stone, of Anderson, was honored
with a pink and blue shower at the
Lydia community building.
Games, directed by Mrs. But
Fuller and Mrs. R. E. Whitmire
were enjoyed by the guests.
The guests were invited into the
dining room where open-faced sand
wiches, nuts, olives, cake, punch
were served from the buffet table.
A color scheme at blue and yel
low was used in the table decora
tions. In the lounge an arrangement
of mixed garden flowers adorned
the piano

that pursuant to ordinance of the
City of Clinton adopted and passed
at the regular meeting of City
Council on the 7th day of July, 19M,
a general election will be held in
the City of Clinton, South Carolina,
on Tuesday, the 12th day of Au
gust, 1958, for the purpose of
electing a Mayor -and six Alder-
men, one from each of the six
wards in the City of Clinton, each
fo whom shall be elected at large
by a direct vote of the qualified
electors of the City of CUnton to
succeed the present members of the
City Council upon the expiration
of their respective terms of office.
The polling places for said gen
eral election shall be as follows:
at the City Hall for Clinton No." 1
Precinct; \' at Hampton Avenue
School for Clinton No. 2 Precinct;
and at Clinton Mills Community
House for Clinton Mills Precinct.
The polls shall be opened at
eight o’clock in the forenoon and
close at six o’clock in the afternoon
of the day of election.
