home after attending summer
school at Winthrop College, Rock

Mr. and Mrs. James T. Smith of
Columbia, spent the week-end with
Mrs. Smith’s parents, Mr. and Mrs.
E. L. Holland. Michael and Ronnie
Smith, who had been spending two
weeks with their grandparents, ac
companied their parents home.
Friends of Mrs. P. B. Adair will
be interested to know she is conva
lescing at the home of her daugh
ter, Mrs. John W. Finney, Jr., after
a recent illnes and hospital stay.
Mrs. W. L. Anthony has returned
from a months stay with relatives
in Greenvile and Fork Shoals.
Mrs. Richard Lukstat and little
daughter, Nancy Bee, formerly of
Harlingen, Texas, are spending
some time with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Horace D. Payne. Lt.
Lukstat will join them here August

he is assigned to the air base.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Law spent
the week-end at Montreat, N. C.,
as guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. R.

month of July with their grandpa

ton. Their parents will join them
here the latter part of the month.
Miss Miriam Templeton of Augus

the week-end with her parents.

Kristi King has returned from
a week’s visit in Florence with her
grandmother, Mrs. Agnes Brodie.
She was accompanied home for a
visit by her cousin, Candy Beck.

dred, left this week to return to
their home in Endicott, N. Y., after
a visit with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Thornwell Dunlap, and her

of Greenwood, recently joined their
sister, Mrs. C. L. Marx, and Mr.
Marx of Syracuse, N. Y., at Vir
ginia Beach, Va., for a stay. The
Sheelys were accompanied home
by their nephew, Charles Marx,
who left last week for Mexico City
where he will join a tour for a trip
through Old Mexico.
Mrs. R. E. Sadler and grand
daughters, Sara, Julia and Jinki,
Sadler, have returned after a stay
at Surfside Beach.
Friends of Mrs. Frank Cauley
will be interested to know she re
turned here Saturday after a three
months stay at the National Insti
tute of Health, Bethesda, Md., and
will be with her mother, Mrs. S.
B Pruitt, and Mr. Caulef’s mo
