NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN,
that the City of Clinton, South Caro
lina, has commenced condemna
tion proceedings for the purpose of
acquiring title to and use of ease
ments and rights of way in certain
real estate in Laurens County, South
Carolina, standing of record in the
name of Farrow Wilson Estate on
tax books of Laurens County (but in
which the respondent herein has gn
undivided one-tenth interest), the
said easements and rights of way
and the real estate to be subject
thereto being more fully and par
ticularly described as follows:
The free, exclusive, uninterrupt
ed and perpetual right, liberty, pri
vilege, use and easement to con
struct, operate, maintain, remove
and keep in repair a line or lines
for the transmission of electric cur
rent and power, including poles,
wires, cables, conduits, -fixtures
and all appurtenances incident
thereto, from time to time and to
construct, lay, install, operate,
maintain, remove and keep in re
pair a pipe line or pipe lines for
the conveyance or transportation
of water and other substance with
all the appurtenances thereto, from
time to time, all upon, over, across
and beneath the following described
property.
All that certain piece, parcel and
strip of land thirty (30) feet in
width throughout and extending
three hundred seventy (370) feet in
length, containing twenty-five one-
hundredths ( .25) of an acre, situate,
lying and being north of the City
of Clinton, Laurens County, South
Carolina, said strip commencing at
point on boundary line between
lands of Farrow Wilson heirs and
lands of City of Clinton at point des
ignated as station 215 30 on proposed
raw water pipe line of City of Clin
ton and extending S 8 deg 30 min
E three hundred seventy (370) feet
to point on boundary separating
lands of Farrow Wilson heirs from
lands of Jim Philson Estate at point
designated as station 219 on said
pipe line, and strip of land is fully
shown and designated as "Farrah

of land subject to that certain ease
ment conveyed to the City of Clin
ton by Farrow Wilson by deed
dated February, 1935, and recorded
in Deed Book 64, at Page 315, in
the office of the Clerk of Court for
Laurens County. Together with the
free, uninterrupted and perpetual
right to trim, cut and remove any
and all trees and all other obstruc
tions upon said real property and
tp keep the same free from trees
and other obstructions; and the
free, uninterrupted and perpetual
right, easement and right of way,
for the City of Clinton, its succes-
ors, assigns, officers, agents, ser
vants and employees, of ingress,
egress and access to, over and
across the other lands of the Far
row Wilson heirs adjacent to the
lands hereinabove described, with
machinery and equipment, to and
from the lands hereinabove de
scribed, for the purpose of per
forming the acts and rights herein
mentioned upon the strip of land
hereinabove described; the City of
Clinton to pay to the said C. T. Wil
son or his assigns the actual dma-
ages to any crops owned by him or
them which may r'esult from the ex
ercise from time to time of such
right of way access, egress, and in
gress.
The City of Clinton, South Caro
lina, has selected as its freeholders
to asses damages, Messrs. C. W.
Anderson, whose address is 508
North Broad Street, Clinton, South
Carolina, and T. E Addion, whose
address is 303 Hickory Street, Clin
ton, South Carolina.

freeholders as your representatives
to assess damages and within five
(5) days after service of the within

Hall, North Broad Street, Clinton,

Clerk of Court of Common Pleas
for Laurens County for the Selec
tion of two such freeholders as pro
vided by law.
The purpose for which the real
estate herein described and ease
ments and rights of w’ay therein are
required is for operating, improv
ing and extending the waterworks
system of the Combined Utility Sys
tem of the City of'Clinton, South
Carolina.
