lovely tea Thursday honoring the
wives of the faculty, military per
sonnel and staff \at Presbyterian
College. \
Pink roses and white chrysanthe
mums in a sliver bowl centered
the prettily appointed table which
was covered with an imported cut-
work cloth. Pink tapers in silver
candelabra flanked the 'arrange
ment.
A pink floral arrangement was
used in the living room with an ar
rangement of yellow summer flow
ers being used effectively in the
den. —-
Dainty party sandwiches, indi
vidual cakes, mints and nuts were
served by Mrs. Edward Campbell
and Mrs. Layton Fraser. Mrs. A J.
Thackston served punch.

Baptist Church, the oldest Baptist
church in Laurens County, by her
pastor. Rev. Carl Bsihop of Ware
Shoals
Mrs. Bond is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph.$ Poole of -Rt. 1,
Clinton. Given in marriage by her
father, she was attended by a cou
sin. Mrs. Carroll Poole of Clinton,
as matron of honor.
Mr. Bond, son of Mr. and Mrs.
William C. Bond of this city, chose
his father as best man. Ushers
were Carroll Poole, cousin of the
bride, and S. Louis Bond, uncle of
the groom, both of this city.
Miss Mary Cunningham, pianist,
and J. E Martin, vocalist, pre
sented music for the wedding.
The couple, using the double ring
ceremony, exchanged vows under
an arch in a setting of palms, can
delabra with blue candles, and urns
bolding white gladioli and blue
Queen Anne * Lace
The bnde's dress of white ap-
pliquetf net and ruffles over white
satin was designed with floor length
floral skirt; a high neckline, long
sleeve jacket of appliqued net was
worn with the strapless dress. She
wore a doubled fingertip veil caught
to a pearl crown and carried lilies
of the valley centered with a white
orchid on a white Bible.
The matron of honor’s floor length
dress of pastel blue net over satin
was designed with a 'V neckline.
She wore a matching headdress and
matching shoes, and carried a nose
gay of pale pink carnations.
For travel, the bride changed to
a powder blue dress with white
accessories.
Mrs Bond graduated from Clin
ton High School on May 27, 1958.
Mr. Bond also attended Clinton High
School before entering the service
in October, 1957, and is now sta
tioned at Great Lakes, 111.

June Meeting
Monday afternoon the Woman’s
Auxiliary of All Saints’ Episcopal
Church held the June meeting at
the church with a number in at
Mrs. Bailey Dixon gave the de
votional to open the meeting A pro
gram on “Christian Science” was
led by Mrs. J H. Southall
Mrs E N. Sullivan, president,
presided over the meeting when it
was decided to close the rummage
sales (which have been in progress
for some time to raise money for
the church carpet) until the last
two weeks in August. Schedules for
nursery duty were read and also
Sunday School programs were dis
cussed.
