Annual Junior-Senior
For Clinton High Is
'Satellite Ball'’'
Members of the junior class of
Clinton High School entertained the
seniors'with the traditional, “junior-
senior'’ on Friday evening in the
scholo gymnasium
“SatteUte Ball” was chosen as a
theme for the event and decora
tions featured a canopy of blue with
stars, a revolving globe in the cen
ter, rockets and sputniks. The Rhy-
thmaires of Greenville furnished
music for the occasion.
Myrna Sease, president of the
junior class, gave the welcome or
"count down.” TTie response or
“blast-off" was given by Mike
Cooley, president of the senior
class.
Entertainment included a skit
satirizing a teachers’ meeting. Par
ticipating were Lou Jones Corn
wall, Georgia Young, Mary Ander
son, Sally Glenn, Dwight Moody,
Jimmy Young, and Copeland Whit
mire.
Guests in addition to the seniors
and juniors were members of the
faculty, their wives or husbands.
Junior class advisors for the dance
were Mrs. K. N. Carter and Mrs.
RoUy Bannister.

She is employed as a secretary by the First National Bank and Trust
Company in Macon.
Mr. Blakeily is the son of Mrs. J. B. Speakr, of this city, and the
late Gilbert Blakely, lie was graduated from Chnton High School
and the University of South Carolina in I9>4. He is employed in the
passenger department of the Atlantic Coast line Railroad in Savan
nah.

nold.
Mrs. Clark Johnson suffered a
fractured wrist injury and was a
patient at Hays hospital several
days.
